When I first heard the initial version of Mad Rush by Brandt Brauer Frick, those prepared piano samples just hooked me right in. So I decided to make that element the fundament of my rework and prepared my grand piano by splitting it up like a synth. With a plasticine drum machine and bass in the low register, some kind of „special effects“ made of wooden sticks in the right hand, and harmonious layers somewhere in between. And, of course, it was a main challenge but big fun to make sure it was all playable live.
